Visiting as a School Group

Bring your School Group, Scout Group, or Youth Group out to Montana Grizzly Encounter to learn about Grizzly Bears! With our dedication to education, we allow any youth group in free of charge so we can ensure the next generation is inspired to protect the future of the species. Donations are very much appreciated!


Good Donation Ideas:

  • Monetary
  • Fruits (apples, pears, oranges, avocadoes, plums, peaches, mangoes, grapes, watermelons, cantaloupe, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • Vegetables (carrots, sweet potatoes, corn, green leaf lettuce, not iceberg)


Bad Donation Ideas:

  • Unruly Children
  • Garbage
  • Pizza Crust
  • Chicken bones


Information for groups:

  • Minimum of 10 kids
  • Require 1 chaperone per 10 kids (excess chaperones will pay kid admission price)
  • Must call at least a week in advance to schedule visit
  • Dress for the weather! You will be outside
  • Bus Drivers are welcome to join free of charge

Keeper Talks

When you visit Montana Grizzly Encounter, not only will you witness our rescue bears reveling in their natural behaviors and enjoying themselves, but you will also have the opportunity to enrich your knowledge. Throughout your visit, a dedicated staff member will be present in the viewing area to provide educational insights about our rescue bears, wild bear behavior, and essential bear safety tips. Every hour on the half hour, our staff conducts Keeper Talks, ensuring that even if your visit aligns with an ongoing talk, a new one will commence shortly, allowing you to seamlessly engage in this informative experience.
